The rHouse CurriculumrHouse is about making connections between our secular and Jewish lives. Everyday we live our routines; school, practice, rehearsal, studying, parents, and siblings, etc; often overlooking how our Judaism influences the decisions made every step along the way. At rHouse we strive to clarify these connections between our "everyday life" and our Judaism.

Sundays@rHouse - for grades 8-12Join us for Sundays@rHouse! rHouse meets once-a-month on Sundays. Over the course of the year, participants will rotate through each of our four rHouse experience tracks.
On Sundays@rHouse, we will begin our experiences at 11:30 AM, and Madrichim will be excused from the last half-hour of Religious School classes. |
The Experiences
rAdventure: Explore Jewish values and formulate connections between Judaism and the world around you while experiencing kayaking, hiking, and/or rock climbing adventures.
rCuisine: Learn culinary skills with some of Baltimore's local chefs and restaurant owners. Help to repair the world by donating the food we make to local soup kitchens and food pantries.
|
rCreativity: Meet local artists and explore how we can use a cariety of art forms to define and display our Jewish identities and Jewish values.
rMuseums: Take a day trip to one of Baltimore of D.C.'s inspiring museums. A Jewish museum educator will guide us in exploring what seemingly non-Jewish museums exhibits can teach us about Judaism and living Jewishly in today's world.

This is your chance to spend time with friends in a fun, cool, and non-judgmental setting, figuring out what it means to be a Jewish teen today.
*8th, 9th, & 10th Grade Girls Only*
Jew Man Group (Sunday Afternoons): Being a guy is not always so simple. We like sports, and we like the arts. We like to hang out, and we like to do...well...stuff. In Jew Man Group, we'll take an opportunity to explore what being a man - and more specifically, a JEWISH man - means, and what we can learn about ourselves and each other. Through activities, discussion, popular culture, media, games, and group experiences, we'll take an opportunity to just be guys.
